Amends is a record built and finished in-house. The raw upload title on the @dajai-io SoundCloud page reads "eMastered Amends Daj prod Daj 2 HD (1)," which packs in a producer credit for Daj' himself, a version number, a note that the audio was prepared in high quality, and a word at the front that points to how it was mastered. The upload is dated 2026-05-19 and listed as a standalone single.
So far it shows 158 tracked plays and no likes. Those are the true figures. What stands out is the chain of labels, which reads almost like a production log.
Unpacking the file name
"prod Daj" is the production credit: the artist made the beat. "2" marks this as a second version of the song. "HD" says the file was prepared at high quality. The trailing "(1)" looks like a duplicate-file marker, the kind a computer adds when two files share a name.
The opening word, "eMastered," appears to describe how the track was mastered, through an automated mastering service of that name. That is a reading of the label, not a confirmed claim about the workflow, but it fits the pattern of an artist who documents each step in the file name.
A self-produced record
When the writer is also the producer, the record has a single point of view from the drums up. There is no negotiation between collaborators, no compromise on the arrangement. That can make a song feel especially personal, because every choice came from the same set of ears.
Amends also has a title that suggests reflection. Making amends means setting something right. We will not quote lyrics or claim what the record says, since nothing from it is on file here, but the name sets a tone that is different from the louder, more confident titles elsewhere in the catalog.
Where it sits in the vault
Daj' - DAJAI Stewart, pronounced "DJ" - is an independent artist based in Las Vegas, Nevada. His SoundCloud catalog holds 14030 tracks, and his deduped cumulative plays sit around 9.39M. That count is spread across two separate real handles, @supercooldaj and @dajai-io, and Amends lives on the second.
Self-production is a running thread. Facts, another upload on the page, also carries a "Prod. Daj'" credit. The formal discography gives the loosies a frame: Neoworld in 2018, Daj's Dedication in 2019, Dark and Too Dark in 2024, Flight to Vegas 2 in 2025, and DARK I - Outwitting the Devil on 2026-04-07.
The DARK Library connection
DARK I is Volume I of the DARK Library, a planned ten-volume album cycle. Its chapters map to Napoleon Hill's 1938 manuscript, and the volume sits on Kether, the crown of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life. The stems from DARK I are published as intellectual property under Code Black Associates, the CBA brand. For a listener who enjoys a reflective loosie like Amends, the album is the natural next step into longer-form work.
Ownership and publishing
No label is involved. Distribution runs direct through UnitedMasters or CDBaby by release, and both act strictly as distributors. The writing is registered with The MLC: 47 works under DANIEL DAJAI STEWART-HANDY, all at 100% Total Known Shares, visible through the public search at portal.themlc.com.
How to listen
Amends is available on SoundCloud only, on the @dajai-io page. Give it a quiet listen first, since the title suggests a more inward record. Then search the page for other versions of Amends to hear how the song changed on its way to this second pass.
With 158 plays and no likes, the first heart on this one is still unclaimed.
