The title is a puzzle on purpose or by accident, and either way it sticks: "e ed Apartment-Third- HD." Daj' uploaded the record to the @dajai-io SoundCloud page on August 12, 2026, filed under Hip-hop and Rap, and it runs about three minutes and nineteen seconds. That is long by the standard of his recent loosies, which makes it worth a closer look.
Two listeners have already liked it out of 184 tracked plays. Small numbers, but a like-to-play ratio that suggests the people who found it stayed with it.
The Sound and Shape of a Longer Cut
Most of the 2026 standalones on this handle land near the two-minute mark. At 3:19, this one has room for a fuller arrangement, a second verse, or a longer outro. No producer or featured artist is listed on the upload, so the full credit sits with Daj'.
The "HD" tag at the end of the title usually signals a higher-quality bounce of an existing take, the version meant to be heard rather than the rough reference. Combined with the word "Third," it reads like a studio label for a specific pass in a specific room. That is how this catalog tends to name things: honestly, and close to the session.
What the Tags Tell Us
The upload carries a long tag list that places it squarely in its moment: hip-hop, rap, trap, "new music," 2026, "independent artist," and "Las Vegas." Those are the coordinates Daj' chose for discovery, and they match the public profile. Las Vegas is the home base brand, and independence is the operating model rather than a slogan.
There is also a tag referencing an iCloud root master, which points to how the file was organized before upload. It is a small detail, but it fits the pattern of an artist who keeps a disciplined archive across thousands of tracks.
Placing It in the 2026 Run
August 2026 falls well after DARK I - Outwitting the Devil, which arrived on April 7 as Volume I of the DARK Library. By late summer the catalog had shifted into a steady flow of standalone uploads, and this is one of them. It is not tied to an album, and it does not need to be.
The value of a record like this is continuity. Fans who follow the @dajai-io page week to week can hear the writing evolve between official volumes. Standalones like Apartment Third are the connective tissue of the larger ten-volume plan.
Code Black and the Wider Brand
Daj' does not only release music. The public side of the operation includes Code Black Associates, an athletics and culture brand, and Streamers University, a creator education project. The DARK Library ties into that world directly: the stems from DARK I were published as intellectual property under Code Black CBA.
None of that changes how this song sounds. It does explain why the catalog is run like a business, with versioned files, consistent tags and direct distribution, rather than like a hobby page.
How to Stream It
The record is on SoundCloud only, on the @dajai-io handle. Current tracked plays sit at 184 with two likes. If you are new to the catalog, this is a reasonable second or third stop: long enough to hear the voice settle in, recent enough to reflect where the work stands now. Put it on, let it run the full three minutes, and then move through the other August uploads posted on the same day.
