The Milestone
On July 4, 2026, a live SoundCloud API pull put the @dajai-io account at 1,014,509 cumulative plays across 15,237 public tracks. Seven figures, on the newer of the two Daj' handles, on top of the 8.4 million plays already banked on the OG @supercooldaj account.
Combined verified SoundCloud footprint: 9,438,522 plays.
The Math Behind It
This is not a screenshot claim. It is two dated API pulls anyone can reproduce:
- May 18, 2026: 625,334 plays
- July 4, 2026: 1,014,509 plays
That is 389,175 new plays in 47 days - roughly 58,000 a week, 8,300 a day, on one platform. The catalog did that while two new albums (R2S Greatest Hits and Flight to Vegas) went live on Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, and Pandora in the same window.
What Drove the Run
Three things, all documented on this blog:
- Volume as a strategy. The 2008 mixtape-run model applied to 2026 infrastructure: over 15,000 tracks live and public, stems open-sourced as IP, every upload feeding the same catalog engine at dajai.io/music.
- The June album week. Two albums in two days - the 50-track R2S Greatest Hits and the original Flight to Vegas - put the deep catalog in front of new ears.
- Owned distribution. Every play surface points back to dajai.io, where the albums are playable at the top of the homepage and the live stats update from the source.
