Song 1 Update is a revision you can hear. The upload on the @dajai-io SoundCloud page is titled "DAJAI & Quiss Song 1 Update," and the file path behind it adds "final_v3," which tells you the version went through at least three passes before it was marked final. It runs about 2 minutes and 18 seconds, carries a 2026-05-02 date, and is listed as a standalone single.
The counter shows 158 tracked plays and no likes. Those are the real numbers. What makes this one worth a page is the pairing in the title and the honesty of the word "Update."
Two names, one session
The title names Quiss alongside DAJAI, so this is a shared record. That is the only collaboration fact on hand, and this page will not stretch it. We will not say who handles which part, who produced the beat or how the session came together, because none of that is on record.
What a listener can do is pay attention to the dynamic. On a two-artist record, the interesting moments are often the handoffs: how one voice ends and the other picks up, whether they trade lines or hold separate sections, and how the song uses the contrast. A runtime just over two minutes means those handoffs come quickly.
Why "Update" matters
Most artists upload a final version and let earlier ones disappear. Calling a track an "Update" admits that there was an earlier "Song 1" and that this one replaces or improves it. The "final_v3" tag in the path backs that up. It is a small act of transparency, and it invites fans to think about the record as something that evolved.
If you enjoy that kind of listening, search the @dajai-io page for the original Song 1 and compare. The difference between a first pass and a third is often where you learn the most about how a song gets made.
The catalog that holds it
Daj' - DAJAI Stewart, pronounced "DJ" - is an independent artist from Las Vegas, Nevada. His SoundCloud catalog holds 14030 tracks, with roughly 9.39M deduped cumulative plays across his catalog. Those plays are spread over two separate real handles, @supercooldaj and @dajai-io, which are counted together because they are distinct uploads.
Collaborations show up in the official discography too. Okay ft Tatum Swag is one of the listed singles, alongside Tax Season, Choose Sides, Heavy, Still Backie, Thats Sus and Prczn. The anchor album right now is DARK I - Outwitting the Devil, released 2026-04-07 as Volume I of the DARK Library, a planned ten-volume cycle mapped to Napoleon Hill's 1938 manuscript.
Independence and paperwork
The operation runs without a label. Releases are distributed direct through UnitedMasters or CDBaby depending on the project, and both are distributors rather than owners. The songwriting is registered with The MLC under DANIEL DAJAI STEWART-HANDY: 47 works, all at 100% Total Known Shares, which anyone can confirm through the public search at portal.themlc.com.
That registration is the practical side of being independent. It means the writing is documented, the shares are clean, and the catalog stays with the artist no matter which distributor carries a given release.
How to hear it
Song 1 Update is available on SoundCloud only, on the @dajai-io page. Play it once for the overall feel, then a second time focused on the exchange between DAJAI and Quiss. If you track down the original Song 1, play them back to back and listen for what the update changed.
