THE PLAY

Freshman year. Sun Devil Stadium. Armand Perry intercepts the Huskies, takes it 61 yards the other way, walks in to seal the W.

His younger brother Alex was in the stands on an unofficial recruiting visit. Watched Armand take it to the house. Turned to him after the game and committed to ASU on the spot. That's how the Perry brothers at Arizona State line starts — with one pick-six and one conversation in the tunnel.

34 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 3.5 TFLs as a freshman. First career INT returned 61 yards for the game-winning TD vs. Washington. Brother Alex watches from the stands and commits to ASU after the game.

2015 — 2016
Starter. Labrums.

Starts 2 games vs. Texas A&M and Cal Poly before season-ending injury. Returns 2016 — 8 tackles vs. Cal, 7 vs. Texas Tech. Torn labrums, hip + shoulder.

May 2017
Medical retirement.

Announces retirement from football at ASU. 87 career tackles. 2.5 sacks. One pick-six that inspired his brother to come join him. The kind of career that finishes itself in under a tweet.
