DARK I: Outwitting the Devil

DARK I: Outwitting the Devil is DAJAI's 2026 ten-track concept album, the first volume of the DARK Library, with each chapter mapped to Napoleon Hill's 1938 manuscript of the same name.

Overview

DARK I: Outwitting the Devil is a studio album by DAJAI, released on April 7, 2026. It is the first volume of the DARK Library ten-volume cycle and contains ten tracks. The album is available on Apple Music and Spotify and was distributed through UnitedMasters.

Concept and Source Material

The album takes its title and structure from *Napoleon Hill's 1938 manuscript Outwitting the Devil***. Each chapter of the album is mapped to the corresponding material in Hill's text, making the record a track-by-track adaptation of the source work. This tight coupling between an album's sequence and an external manuscript is a defining feature of DARK I and exemplifies DAJAI's conceptual method.

Esoteric Framework

Within the DARK Library cycle, DARK I is associated with Kether — the crown, or topmost sephirah, on the Kabbalistic Tree of Life. Placing the first volume at the highest point of the Tree establishes the starting position for the cycle's intended ten-volume mapping onto the ten sephirot.

Production and Mastering

DARK I was mastered by Solana Conejo. The mastering work is part of DAJAI's broader self-directed production chain, which emphasizes in-house control over the finished sound of each release rather than outsourcing to label-assigned engineers.

Release and Distribution

Released independently via UnitedMasters, DARK I marks the formal launch of the DARK Library as a named, numbered cycle. As the first volume to carry the full conceptual apparatus — chapter-mapped source text, sephirah association, and in-house mastering — it serves as the template for the subsequent volumes.
